Mother's Day weekend
Last Mother's day (still pregnant at that point), we joined Brad & Alex and little Viv for a lovely tea at the McKenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park - it was probably one of the best scones I have ever had... delicious! In any case, this year for my first "official mother's day" we played it pretty low key and spent the day outside mowing the lawn, planting tomatoes and just hanging out. The day before however, Pete was downtown for a course and Will and I had a first birthday party to attend. Afterwards we walked around downtown, visiting Parliament Hill and Major's Hill Park (our wedding bench) to check out the tulip fest... Will loved it!
Playground
We are super lucky to have a great park on the water in our town. At least once a week after Pete gets home from work, we head down and spend some good old Sancer family time playing on the swings (Will's fav).

Swings!!
Another first for Mr. Will on the weekend.... Auntie Jacky and Uncle Jer were up and we visited the park down by the water....Will got to try out the swings for the first time - so much fun!
Yep, he's Canadian
Every morning Will loves to sit and watch Sportscentre (Hockey highlights are his favourite) while Pete and I get our breakfast - this shot is him, mid superman pose.

Happenings with Will
To start, I should mention that Mr. Will is now 6 whole months old.... where did the time go?
Obligatory Maple Leafs blanket shot.... mid wiggle (check the blurred hands)
A while back Pete and I decidedly proclaimed that we weren't going to be those parents whose kids stuff took over the house.... fast forward a few months later and look what made it into the family room. He just looks so darn happy - and it doesn't hurt that he can stand and occupy himself for a few minutes while we cook in the kitchen - go Will!
Over the Easter weekend we popped down to Sharon for a visit - Will took the time for some movie snuggles with Grandma and Grandpa.
Always the helpful little man, Will wanted to help out Pete with some spring gardening.
Now that Will is rolling all over the place, he ends up in some odd places... like under the coffee table. I guess it seems like a fort to him? In any case, we think it's quite hilarious. Once he gets under he babbles away at himself - priceless!

Pod Racing
First introduced to us by Martin - Pete has now become the resident Pod Racing expert in the family... much to Will's delight.

Welcome
Greetings,
We set up this blog site to keep our friends and family up-to-date with Mr. William. Since we don't have the convenience of being close to many of you, we figured this would help close the separation gap a bit.
This is not intended as a "Look what our Kid can do" web page, but just to allow you guys to not miss out on the moments you surely would see in person if we actually lived in a simple to visit location.
Hope you're all doing great and here's hoping that we get to see you all more often in person and less on the interweb thingy.
Cheers,
Pete, Linda, Will
Oh and here's a video of Will being encouraged to not eat the floor.
